I’ve been blogging on and off in various different places for more than 15 years. But Life As Mrs D has been going for about 4.5 years now. Definitely the longest, and most consistent (at least in recent years) of all my blogs.

I have been talking for quite a while now about trying to start making some money from my blog. To move on from this just being a little hobby, to something that could help me contribute towards household bills, or allow us to have some more treats etc.

I decided that for the ease of record keeping etc. that I would start in the new tax year. Since then I have managed to acquire 7 jobs that I have already been paid for, and have another few lined up.

I think I’m starting to get more and more confident in pitching for jobs, and I think a lot of that comes from the support of lots of other lovely bloggers in some of the groups I’m part of.

I’d always kept a little list on my phone of things I would spend my money on once I started making money on my blog, but instead I’ve decided that I’m going to pay for my lovely hubby to go to Oberammergau in 2020. He wasn’t too happy about spending my money on him, but when I explained that he pays for everything else, he was then fairly happy for me to do so!

It’s been fairly easy so far, although it is meaning a lot more work, and a lot more late nights. But it’s definitely worth it, and I wish I’d started sooner!

Check out my whole list on this post. If you’d like to see how I’m progressing with all my other tasks, then have a look at my list on the Day Zero Project site
