May’s Little Loves
Little Loves is a linky that runs once a month. It’s aim is to remember the little things that happen, and a nice, easy way of documenting them.
I rarely get chance to read these days. But this month I actually managed to start reading a book when we were on holiday. As it was on my Kindle I’d downloaded it ages ago, and I have absolutely no idea what it is called. It’s a nice easy read, just what I needed really to get me back into reading.
I also read an article that brought a slight tear to my eye. It was from a newspaper that talked about Jura, what it was like, and what it is like now. It is so sad to hear that Jura House, where we used to stay is now nearly three times as big
As with most months I’ve also read Gardener’s World magazine. I am so rock and roll. I love getting ideas of what we could do once we have a bigger garden, and also what we could be doing on the allotment.
The last episode of Season 14 of Grey’s Anatomy. Without wanting to spoil it for anyone that hasn’t watched it yet…I was surprised that I didn’t cry like an absolute baby like I have done on many a previous season finale. I expected all sorts, especially when I’d heard that two long-standing characters were leaving.
The last episode of Car Share. I thought it was great, as they all are. It’s such a clever concept. I didn’t feel as though it had a ‘last episode ever’ feel to it though. I did think that the wedding invite they were talking about does leave it open to a Christmas special, but we shall see.
Chris and I have enjoyed watching the The Island with Bear Grylls. We watch it each year and get so frustrated with them, saying what they should be doing. Though I guess it’s bloody hard when you’re there.
Rhubarb Gin! After visiting my Grandma the other weekend, we came away with a lot of rhubarb. The recipe requires 1kg of it, and it only took me 2 stems to get that amount! Unfortunately though I have to wait 4 weeks until it is ready to drink!
Running shoes! I have started doing Couch to 5km again. I struggle to find the motivation, and often time, to go out for a run, particularly when I’m really busy, or we’re with friends and family for the weekend and I should be going for a run.
I’ve also worn lots of summer clothes (for me anyway!), as we’ve had a fair bit of really nice weather. Which has often been followed by some pretty spectacular storms!
Isla learning so so many new words! It is amazing to hear. The human race would be amazing if they continued to learn at the same rate throughout their whole life as they do when they’re a toddler!
Lots of Fall Out Boy, as I’ve found it’s really good for when I’m running!
