Living Arrows – 9/52 {2018}

Kahlil Gibran – “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”

Living Arrows

Each week I link up with Living Arrows, a linky hosted by Donna from What The Redhead Said.  As Donna explains the project takes its name from a poem by Kahlil Gibran called On Children.

So every week I’ll be posting a photo of Isla from the last week that captures a moment of childhood.

Happy Monday everybody! I hope you are all wrapped up warm, or sat with the heating on while cuddling a cup of tea, cos it is bleeding freezing out there right now!

This weeks Living Arrows photo was taken at our local park. We were all wrapped up, but it was still chilly as anything! Isla didn’t seem to care though and she was running around like a mad man, from swing, to slide, to climbing frame, and back to the swing again!

She would have happily stayed there until it was dark, but me and Chris were far too cold so said it was time to get home. When leaving the park Isla discovered a big pile of leaves, and it turns out these are the best thing since Ella’s Kitchen Melty Hoops!!

Isla loved shuffling through them, and then picking them all up (although this was difficult in big mittens!) We spent a good while teaching her how to throw them up in the air, which she loved so much. We then eventually had to drag her away, not quite kicking and screaming, so that we could go home and warm up!

She is at such a wonderful age at the moment, and I’m loving finding out what new words she learns each day.

    She sounds like she really is at the best age – and she sees the adventure even in the smallest things! I hope you’re all wrapped up this week, it’s freezing! x
