Kahlil Gibran – “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”

Living Arrows

Each week I link up with Living Arrows, a linky hosted by Donna from What The Redhead Said.  As Donna explains the project takes its name from a poem by Kahlil Gibran called On Children.

So every week I’ll be posting a photo of Isla from the last week that captures a moment of childhood.

Well this is the latest in the week I’ve posted a Living Arrows post in quite a while, possibly this year! My parents were here to stay at the start of this week, so that pushed everything back a bit…certainly worth it though. I love having them to stay!

So Living Arrows 37/52…. last week we did a LOT of face painting…not always with face paints, sometimes Isla decided it was a good idea to use poster paints..which certainly don’t come off quite as easily!! Oh well, she had fun!

Isla also made some biscuits with Daddy, which turned out really well, and she loved eating. She was quite happy to feel all the ingredients, and loved trying desiccated coconut…but flat out refused to try golden syrup….maybe she’s health conscious already!?!

On Thursday we were playing with her jigsaws and Melissa and Doug latches when she noticed it was raining, and so jumped up, put her wellies on and asked for her umbrella! So we went out on a puddle hunt, and she spent ages just splashing in the puddles.

She hasn’t quite mastered how to hold an umbrella yet, but she’s getting there, bless her. She looks super cute in this photo though I think.
