Living Arrows 2018

Living Arrows – 27/52 {2018}

Kahlil Gibran – “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”

Living Arrows

Each week I link up with Living Arrows, a linky hosted by Donna from What The Redhead Said.  As Donna explains the project takes its name from a poem by Kahlil Gibran called On Children.

So every week I’ll be posting a photo of Isla from the last week that captures a moment of childhood.

We spent the start of the week camping in Berkshire for a few days. Could we have had any better weather? Well actually, I’m going to be rather British and moan that it was a little bit too hot during the days. But we still had a fantastic time.

Isla was a bit of a pain with going to sleep, but I guess she wasn’t used to sleeping on an airbed in a tent. And then it did get a bit chilly in the night so she woke up lots. I was exhausted by the end of it, but loved it all the same.

We went and visited my Grandma, as well as one of my oldest friends and her twin boys while we were away, which was so lovely.

We also visited Sandham Memorial Chapel, which is a National Trust property. I’m trying to visit 20 new National Trust places as part of my #101in1001, so this meant I could add that to my list of new places I’d visited. It was a very small place, but interesting nonetheless, as it was about Stanley Spencer’s time during WW1. They had a small dressing up section in one of the rooms, so of course I dressed Isla up.

Check out the attitude in the photo. God help me when she’s a teenager!!

    Oh my goodness ! how adorable does Isla look in that costume. We’ve had a few sleepless nights with the heat, even the fans are not cooling the kids down. Have a lovely week x #livingarrows

    Look at those big beautiful eyes! Gorgeous.

    I have to say that I’m a typical Brit too- It is far too hot for me, i’m definitely more of a winter person.

    She is looking so grown up here! I’m loving the sound of your challenge and I remember as a child never sleeping well when camping either! x
