Living Arrows 2018

Living Arrows – 26/52 {2018}

Kahlil Gibran – “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”

Living Arrows

Each week I link up with Living Arrows, a linky hosted by Donna from What The Redhead Said.  As Donna explains the project takes its name from a poem by Kahlil Gibran called On Children.

So every week I’ll be posting a photo of Isla from the last week that captures a moment of childhood.

A few days late, as we’ve just had a fantastic few days away camping. More on that next week I’m sure.

We had a really fun week last week, which included lots of different activities, and several firsts for Isla. Painting, watching Isla’s first Disney film (Beauty & the Beast), picking fresh peas from the garden (which Isla loves), a trip to the pub with friends, a trip to the park and Isla’s first 99 Flake, her first cycling pub crawl (on the back of Daddy’s bike), and the start of a few days camping.

I love this photo of Isla. It was taken while we were at the pub with friends. There’s a field next to the pub that has horses in, and Isla loves to go and see them. It turns out she also loves to climb up this fence. She got right to the top on her own, and wanted to climb over the top too!

I think it’s possibly one of my most favourite photos of Isla so far. I can see her doing this when she is so much older, and it just makes me feel like she is growing up so quickly right now.

    It sounds like you had such a lovely week – and that photo makes Isla look so grown up! x
