Living Arrows 2018

Living Arrows – 19/52 {2018}

Kahlil Gibran – “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”

Living Arrows

Each week I link up with Living Arrows, a linky hosted by Donna from What The Redhead Said.  As Donna explains the project takes its name from a poem by Kahlil Gibran called On Children.

So every week I’ll be posting a photo of Isla from the last week that captures a moment of childhood.

Somehow my gorgeous girl turned two last week! I know everyone says it, but I really don’t know where the last two years have gone. It has flown past. I’m part way through writing a post about Isla at two years old, so keep an eye out for that. You can read her one year post here if you fancied.

Isla had a lovely day for her birthday, which may or may not have started with a bit of chocolate for breakfast!

We then had a trip out to the library, which she loves, a quick play at the park (I had hoped for longer, but the heavens suddenly opened!), and a babychino as well as stealing a lot of the caramel off Mama’s caramel macchiato!

When Daddy got home from work, that’s where all the fun really started as it meant Isla could open her presents. She’s pretty obsessed with balloons at the moment, so a packet of balloons went down really well. She also got a wheelbarrow for the allotment, a lawn mower that blows bubbles, some snacks, some books, and a tent for the allotment too. We decided not to spend a fortune this year, as she doesn’t really understand the fact it’s her birthday yet, and she already has lots of toys. She got some lovely presents from family and friends too (thank you letters will be in the post…when we get around to writing them!)

Isla loves her tent, and we keep having to hide in there, and fill it with all the balloons, play peek-a-boo in it etc. We may have to buy her a new one though, as we had a BBQ with friends on Bank Holiday Monday, and decided to see how many people you could fit in it. Turns out 3 adults and 2 toddlers is fine, 4 adults and 2 toddlers, not so much! It’s a good job it didn’t cost much!

Isla had such a fantastic birthday, and it is just amazing to watch her grow in to a little person. She really isn’t a baby anymore 🙁
