Living Arrows – 12/52 {2018}
Kahlil Gibran – “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”
Each week I link up with Living Arrows, a linky hosted by Donna from What The Redhead Said. As Donna explains the project takes its name from a poem by Kahlil Gibran called On Children.
So every week I’ll be posting a photo of Isla from the last week that captures a moment of childhood.
We went to Odd’s Park Farm on Friday morning. Isla loves it there, as soon as she realised where we were she squealed with excitement! She’s definitely growing up, and is not fussed at all really by the little bit for under 5’s only anymore, she loves going on the big kid section, and dragged me straight on to the big slides as soon as our shoes were off.
We went for a look at all the animals too. It was quite busy at the start as it was ‘bunny time’ so there were lots of bigger kids pushing around. Isla was a bit of a wuss and wouldn’t feed the sheep or goats this time, but loved watched me feed them. And she loved seeing the pigs and piglets.
We went out to play in the outside play area, and she loved running around. She was obviously getting tired by the end of it though as she put her head down on her arms on this table. It would have made such a lovely photo, but she had moved by the time I got my phone out. I asked her to do it again, and she just put her chin on the table, no arms. She found it really funny. She is such a cheeky monkey at the moment. And this photo just sums up her perfectly right now.
