Living Arrows – 10/52 {2018}

Kahlil Gibran – “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”

Living Arrows

Each week I link up with Living Arrows, a linky hosted by Donna from What The Redhead Said.  As Donna explains the project takes its name from a poem by Kahlil Gibran called On Children.

So every week I’ll be posting a photo of Isla from the last week that captures a moment of childhood.

Super late this week as I was ill at the start of the week and it’s taken me until now to feel like I could get anything done.

The snow from last week seems a long time ago now for us. I know most people started to get fed up with it towards the end,  but I loved it. Unfortunately we did have to cancel a weekend with friends as we couldn’t get out of our village, but instead we had a lovely weekend at home.

We went out for a few short walks to get some fresh air, but it was so so cold that we couldn’t stay out for long, even though we were wrapped up warm. Isla decided she wanted to take her Toddlebike2 with her every time we went out.

She loved the snow…up to a certain point! If she got it on her wellies, it had to be wiped off, if I had it on my coat, or in my hair, it had to be wiped off (very difficult when it’s snowing heavily!), and God help us all when she fell over in it! She loved walking through the snow though, and was constantly pointing it out to us, as if we hadn’t noticed it ourselves!

I can’t believe as to how much she has grown up over the last couple of weeks. She is talking so much more now, with new words everyday, and coping more of what we say (best reign in the swearing a bit!!) She seems to have suddenly had a massive growth spurt as well, her usual wellies no longer fit, she’s (finally) moved up into 18-24 month clothing, and she can climb on everything and reach so much stuff that now needs moving!!
