Little Loves – 15th September 17
I’ve finally got back into reading a bit. Usually at stupid o’clock in the morning when I finally go to bed and still can’t sleep. This week I’ve been reading The Perfect Woman by Jess Abundis. I’m only 6 chapters in so far. It’s a bitt weird, and you can tell it’s one of the free ones in the Kindle store as the spelling etc is absolutely shocking and it clearly hasn’t been edited! But, it’s a bit of mindless reading.
I’ve been catching up on Top of the Lake – China girl on BBC. I’ve really enjoyed it and just have the final episode to watch now. Chris and I have been watching (when we find the time) Masterchef Australia on W. It is so much better than Masterchef UK in my opinion. To the point that I no longer watch the UK version as it bores me so much! At some point we plan on watching Tin Star too, which is on Sky.
I heard P!nk’s cover of Sam Smith – Stay With Me on BBC 1 Live Lounge the other day, and it really is a beautiful song.
A mess!? No, OK, seriously. Asda have just brought out a range of Piri Piri Pitta Kits. They are basically Asda’s own version of Nando’s chicken pitta pocket things. So I thought we’d give it a go as I love Nando’s! We went with the Lemon & Herb one, as we didn’t know whether the spicy one would be too hot for Isla (and me, who am I kidding!?!) So our verdict? We didn’t like the salsa it came with, it tasted too sweet, smelt funny, and felt slimy in your mouth. The lemon and herb chicken was nice, and Isla seemed to like it too. The pittas were good, and didn’t fall apart as we feared they might when stuffed full. How one of those packs is meant to feed 4 people though. Chris and I had it between us, and still didn’t feel it was quite enough. I think we might try to make it ourselves next time.
Thick cardigans as it’s been bloody cold this week….all of which are covered in snot, as Isla is getting a cold and thinks acceptable to wipe her nose on me. When do they grow out of this stage!?!
It’s only just over a week until BlogOn Xmas, and I cannot wait to go. Even though I am so nervous about it! If you wanted to read my ice breaker linky for BlogOn, then it’s just here ——–> BlogOn Xmas Jumper Linky. I’m looking forward to seeing what’s in the goody bags, as I’ve heard so many great things about them, as well as meeting lots of amazing bloggers and brands!
