How Does Your Garden Grow #2
We finally seem to be getting some nice weather….long may it continue! The sunshine we’ve had recently means that plants in our garden have started springing in to life, and I’m loving it!
As explained in a previous post we don’t have much of a garden, so we have lots of pots and planters around the front and back garden. So here’s a few pictures of how our flowers and plants are coming along so far this year. I took quite a few photos about a month ago, as well as some on this glorious evening, so it’s lovely to see how much they’ve grown in such a short space of time.
Geraniums from the cuttings we took last September
Potatoes – either Desiree or Kestrel – not a clue as to which ones these were!
I thought I’d well and truly killed off these strawberries when I split them at the start of May, they seem to have survived though and have loads of lovely strawberries on just waiting to ripen up!
This is our beautiful climbing rose we bought last Summer. I can’t believe how much it has grown, as we’d pruned it right back this Spring. In early and mid June it was just beautiful, there were an abundance of roses on it. Unfortunately most seem to have gone now. I’m hoping that as we’ve been regularly dead-heading them that more buds will appear. Fingers crossed!
This is our beautiful Lovely Bride rose that Chris bought me for my birthday last year. It didn’t really seem to be doing too much for quite a while this morning, and we thought we’d killed it off over the winter…turns out not though and it looks stunning!
Please don’t hate me for saying this, but I kinda wish it would rain soon, so that my water butts would fill up – they’re completely empty at the moment 🙁
So how does your garden grow?
