Goals for 2015
I told myself that I wasn’t going to do resolutions for 2015. I never stick to them, and I felt I was just making some up for when people invariably asked me what my resolutions were.
So this year I have decided rather than resolutions, I will set vague goals to aim towards.
So here goes, my goals for 2015:
- Slim for Spain – I am off to Spain twice this year, once in March for a wedding, and once in June for a holiday with some friends. Since our wedding I’ve had no real goals to work towards in terms of my weight, and so my weight seems to have creeped up since. So I’ve decided that I want to be ‘slim for Spain’. As you may have guessed from reading past posts I’m great at starting things, but awful at continuing with them. I keep joking that I’ll actually start trying to lose weight at the start of June, but really I want to try and get into the habit of it now, so I’ve just got to be organised and plan meals and most importantly lunches, as I’m far too good at just going to the bakery and getting a massive sandwich and cake! Ideally I would like to get back down to 10stone at some point…but I very much doubt that is going to happen before Spain! Not enough time!! I just want to feel vaguely comfortable in my bikini on the beach.
- Finish projects in a timely manner – I started painting the doors upstairs probably last March/April sort of time. The outsides of them were finished, but I’ve only done one coat of paint on the insides, and have just been putting them off for ages. Similarly I started ‘re-decorating’ the cupboard under the stairs (it was a horrible mint green with random nails sticking out the walls), but it’s still only half finished. So my goal for 2015 is to complete any projects I start within 3 months. I had thought to say a month, but realistically that is never going to happen!
- Be more proactive with blogging – I would ideally like to write a post at least once a week, if not twice a week. I’m very good at reading other blogs via Bloglovin’ but it would be easier if you could comment on the blogs from Bloglovin’ rather than having to go directly on to the blog. But I am going to make it my aim to comment more on other blogs, find more blogs to read
- Be happier at work – This is a difficult one. I haven’t really been happy at work for quite a long time, but can’t really go in to too much detail on here. This year I would like to wake up in the morning and look forward to going to work, whether that means finding a new job or what I’m not sure. I guess only time will tell
I think 5 goals would’ve been a nice round number, and suited my obsessive needs for order and neatness etc, but I decided 5 was far too many to think of, and I didn’t want to just make one up for the sake of it and not to achieve it.
So here they are, my four goals to work towards in 2015. What are your goals or resolution for 2015? And if you managed to read this, thank you! I’m sure everyone is fed up of reading and seeing lots of posts of a similar vane over the last week or so! Don’t forget to check back to see how I got on.
