Getting to know me – My favourite songs.

Just over 3 years ago I decided to start doing the Day Zero Project which is basically creating a list of 101 things you would like to achieve/do in 1001 days (just under 3 years). You can view my list here, and see how well I did, or didn’t do! (and yes, I do know that my list only shows 100 of my things, I somehow managed to delete/move on of the ones I completed, and am too lazy to figure out which one to add it back on!)

Number 55 on my list was to write a list of my 101 favourite songs. I had started this quite early on, but then my computer died a death and I lost my list, so had to start from scratch again. Anyway, life got in the way and I didn’t manage to complete it in the 1001 days! But now weddings, and honeymoons, and housing buying is out of the way (and Chris has abandoned me for the night!) I’ve managed to complete my list.

I think a lot of it says I’m a 90’s child at heart. But mostly I would just like to say Please, don’t judge me!!!  Some of the songs on the list I think are truely awesome and everyone should hear, and there are several on there that I really shouldn’t admit to having in my music collection, let alone them making my top 101 list of favourite songs!

Part of the reason I think it took me so long to complete, is that there are several bands that I simply adore, and I really struggled to choose which of their songs are my favourite, and so it required listening to ALL of their songs and slowly narrowing it down (Counting Crows, Matchbox Twenty, Blue October, My Chemical Romance, Yellowcard, Goo Goo Dolls), hence why they feature a few times on here

So, this is my top 101 favourite songs at this moment in time. I will totally understand if some of you no longer wish to read my blog any more after finding out how crap some of my taste in music is, and also if those of you who know me no longer wish to talk to me. I have been very honest with my top 101, I did pause over a couple of songs questioning whether I really should include them in my list.
I really don’t think I could choose my all time favourite song, there’s too many! This has been hard enough….actually I think it would’ve been easier to make my top 65 songs, but it doesn’t quite have the same ring to it!
I’m sure this list says far too much about me, but hope that you’ve enjoyed finding out a bit more about me.

As a musical idiot, quite a few of these are completely new to me. I shall have to make a youtube or spotify playlist of as many as I can find to listen to them!

Glad to see Your Winter is on your list, it would be on mine too! So many memories attached to that song.
