I thought I’d let you know a few of the things that I’ve been loving this last week. Whether it be things I’ve had/got, or things I would love to have. So here are my Friday Favourites!
Waitrose salted caramel and chocolate tart.
It’s rare that we will shop at Waitrose. Mostly because we can’t afford to do it often, and also it’s a bit further to get to than Asda. But we had some Waitrose gift cards, as we’d been given them for Christmas and my birthday. So we decided as we’re being cheap skates and not really celebrating Valentines this year with presents and cards that we don’t really need, we would at least have a nice meal. When choosing puddings I couldn’t make my mind up between the Salted Caramel and Chocolate tart, or the Lemon Cheesecake. Anyone that knows me knows that I am slightly obsessed with salted caramel (as I’ve mentioned previously) and also a little bit in love with lemon cheesecake. So this was a pretty difficult decision. So I decided to buy both! I was hesitant about the chocolate tart, as sometimes the salted caramel on things aren’t very salted caramel-y, and the chocolate can be too rich for me. But this was a.m.a.z.i.n.g!!! I could quite happily have eaten it all in one sitting…but I’ve been good and shared with Chris over several sittings.
Denim pinafore dress and top from George at Asda
I’m a huge sucker for babies in denim. I love putting Isla in denim jeans, dungarees and pinafores. So I’m loving this one from George at Asda at the moment. I’m resisting buying it though as Isla has got a lot of clothes, and we’re meant to be good with money at the moment. I can keep window shopping though.
Cast Iron Wall Mounted Bird Feeder
I love this bird feeder. Previously we’ve just had pretty boring, standard bird feeders. But a lovely friend of mine got me a tea-pot shaped bird feeder for my 30th at the start of the month, and it got me thinking about more interesting bird feeders to brighten up our garden and court-yard. This one is available from the National Trust.
Madsen Corner Extending Shelf from Next
We have limited storage in this house, and lots of knickknacks with nowhere to live. I love the idea of this shelf unit, as it can be extended if you need more space. When closed down it looks very compact and would just take up one small bit of wall, but when you open it up, it folds out and turns into a corner unit. The only issue I may have with it is that the shelves in it are higgledy-piggledy and not symmetrical so might drive me a bit mad. Though I’m sure once they have bits and pieces on then it would be fine.
Innocent Orange Juice
The last on my list of Friday Favourites is Innocent Orange Juice. I could quite happily drink orange juice all day every day. We’ve all been a bit under the weather the last week or so – Isla has decided to share her lovely cold with us that she picked up on her first settling in session at nursery. So I’m all over the drinking lots of orange juice for extra vitamin C to help clear it up. To be fair, I’m not really fussed by what type of orange juice we have, Innocent was just on offer when we went shopping!
Hope you all have a lovely weekend whatever you are doing! We are off to see our gorgeous new niece who was born on Valentine’s day! I love a good new baby snuggle!
