Every Friday I’ll be posting another dinner guest wish list in my guest series, Come Dine With…
This series asks all sorts of bloggers who their dream dinner guests are, and why. As you’ll find out there is quite an eclectic mix! This weeks dinner guest wish list is from Sanna. You can find Sanna’s blog over at Vegan Cruiser.
If you are a blogger and would like to take part in Come Dine With…. please contact me here.
So without further ado, let’s Come Dine With… Vegan Cruiser
My first guest is their famous captain Kate McCue who made history in 2015 by becoming the first female American captain on a mega-ship.. at 37! So young & female, to get to her status is amazing and I would love to hear about her travels and how she made it to the top of the game at such young age. Oh, and she’s got a gorgeous Elf Sphynx kitty who travels with her.
My 2nd guest would be a world-famous vegan speaker/lecturer and animal rights advocate from Australia, James Aspey. In 2014 he took a vow of silence to promote the abolition of animal suffering. He’s got a fascinating history of surving cancer in his teens, becoming a fitness instructor, working cruise ships (!) and becoming vegan after being inspired to do so by an older crewmember onboard. Now he travels the world, advocating for the animals, and inspiring and educating people. He’d have so much to share, he’d be ideal dinner party guest.
Guest number three would be Sara Pascoe. Fab female comedienne, often on the telly, Mock the Week and other shows.. And yes, she’s vegan but she’s so funny and you need someone hilarious at a dinner party. So Sara’s in the mix.
For guest four and to give Kate someone to bond with, I’d like to bring in Captain Johnny Favelen… another famous master (among cruise fans, esp those who mostly sail on Royal Caribbean). Capt. Johnny ‘drives’ the largest cruise ship in the world, Royal Caribbean’s Harmony of the Seas. He has motorbikes (Harleys) and generally seems to be a bit of a character. He’s also originally from Norway, from a small fishing village way up north and after 42 years on the seas has been made the master of the most prestigious (definitely biggest) cruise ship there is.
Guest 5 is someone everyone is talking about ATM, for an obvious reason. Meghan Markle. And no, I have no interest in her wedding planning but I would love to hear about her humanitarian work.
Guest 6 would be actor James Cromwell, who most of us know from the popular film Babe where he played the leading role, the farmer who owned Babe. Not only is he a Hollywood actor but also an environmental and animal rights activist, taking on the likes of Seaworld recently.
