100 Happy Days

So I’ve decided to sign up for the 100 Happy Days Challenge.

So what is the 100 Happy Days Challenge? Basically for 100 days you need to submit a picture on either Facebook, Twitter or Instagram of something that makes you happy. You can make it as public or private as you like. But usually the hashtag #100happydays is used

Apparently 71% of people start this challenge, but never finish. I would not be surprised if I am part of that 71%. I always mean well when I start these, but I either forget, or get too busy and miss a couple of days so think there’s no point in continuing with it. But I am going to try my hardest to complete this. I mean it’s only 100 days.

I’m hoping this challenge will help me to take time each day to recognise what makes me happy. I often see little things that make me smile, but don’t take the time to appreciate them. I think by taking a photo each day of something that makes me happy, whether it’s a cake or a sunny day, I may become more optimistic. I don’t think I’m very optimistic at the moment, I usually refer to myself as a realist rather than a pessimist, but lets see if things change in the next 100 days!

Β So here’s my first photo for day 1 – simple, but made me happy on a cold and wet day.

Caramel Macchiato and a Lemon and Poppy Seed Muffin

Β So I challenge you, to complete the 100 Happy Days Challenge. Sounds easy, but can you be happy about something for 100 days? Sign up here

I was thinking about trying out something like this so maybe 100 days worth would get me into the habit! I saw an iPhone app that helps you keep a record too:

I might just join you! I will have to start with today so that we can cheer each other on… I feel a blog post coming on πŸ™‚

An app is a very good idea, though I will have to search for an android one!

It’s great that you’ve decided to start too, another friend has started today as well!

[…] it. The idea was to take a picture everyday for 100 days of something that makes you happy. As my original post about 100 happy days mentioned, about 71% of people never complete the task. And I can understand […]
